What is the influence and cultural intent behind Rangitaki?
It’s important to note that this game is a work of pure fantasy, set in another world, and does not aim to represent or appropriate any specific real-world cultural identity, particularly those associated with South Pacific, Caribbean, or Oceanic traditions.
We understand and respect the sensitivities that may arise when dealing with cultural influences. The creative team behind Rangitaki is international, bringing together individuals from three different continents. This team is committed to upholding the values of inclusivity, respect, and appreciation for all cultures.
That being said, our intention is to pay homage to the artistic and visual aspects of Tiki Culture while embracing a fictional setting that allows players to explore a unique and imaginative world. The game is meant to be enjoyed as an inclusive experience, fostering creativity and entertainment for all participants.

Spire’s End: Rangitaki will come with an Exclusive Bonus Card to those who back the game during the 30-day campaign run

Is Rangitaki a two-player game?
Although Rangitaki was designed as a single-player experience, we encourage you to share your adventures with someone you trust to make sound and wise narrative decisions! In fact, it might be more fun to set sail with a foolhardy sort that laughs in the face of death.
Either way, half the fun is deliberating with an excitable friend about what crazy choice you should make next!
In short, it’s technically not a two-player game, but we strongly feel it’s even better with a friend (or friends) along for the ride!

Is Rangitaki more of a Card Game or a Board Game?
Rangitaki is primarily a Card Game similar in structure to the previous 2 Spire’s End games.
To be clear this is a Spire’s End Card Game with Board Game elements sprinkled in along the way. Not, the other way around.

Is Rangitaki a dense, tactical skirmish-type board game?
No. We consider Rangitaki to be light in terms of tactical depth. Our goal is to keep things as simple as possible while providing enough agency and variety to make each encounter different, unique, quick, and exciting.

What is the refund policy?
Backers will have up to 30 days after the campaign has ended to receive a full and complete refund no questions asked. After that time, refunds will no longer be given.
Please understand that all funds for this project, once received by Favro Venture’s will be allocated to the Rangitaki budget to pay for development costs including artists, editors, prototypes, taxes, fees, and freight expenses.

Why is this game recommended for ages 16 and up?
Rangitaki is not for the faint of heart. There are descriptions and illustrations of violence, gore, and extreme situations not appropriate for a younger audience.

No. This has been designed as a complete, stand alone experience. That being said, this tale does fit into a much larger story with Easter eggs and cross over characters for those familiar with the other games.

What is BackerKit?
BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!

After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
