Salt & Sea Update!

We've locked down the final content of Salt & Sea, the first micro expansion for Spire's End: Rangitaki! This exciting addition will be available alongside the main game release in the first quarter of 2025.
Salt & Sea includes 17 cards introducing a new wave of enemies and fresh tiki drinks! Here's what you can expect:
One Instruction Card, Two Enemy Cards for Chapter 1, Two Enemy Cards for Chapter 2, Three Drink Cards for Chapter 2, One Enemy Card for Chapter 3
Also, there will be: Three Story Cards, Two Character Cards, and Three Playfield Marker Cards
Quick note: The Burner Cocktail is my favorite and the most dangerous from the Sunken Pearl menu! You need an oven mitt just to hold the darn thing! Drinkers beware! (The illustration of this fine beverage is shown at the very top.) That's it until next time. Stay thirsty, my friends!

We've hit a milestone this month. The writing for the game is now complete, and 13 of the 15 location illustrations are complete and colored. Below, I have the first 12 for you to check out. The last three will remain under wraps, and won't be revealed until you get there own your own!
Below the Location Card backs, I have put together a new Progress Report so you can see where we are. Most of the work left is encounter mechanics, editing, and testing. I just finished the mechanics for the main encounter in Chapter 2, with 1 left before I move on to Chapter 3.
Looking ahead, I anticipate the need for an additional month to fine-tune the game. My tentative plan is to hand over the production files at the end of August, allowing us to use the summer for polishing. This timeline should provide us with ample time to ensure the game's quality and readiness.
Besides the illustration of the map and potential work on the playmat, the artwork should be nearly complete by the next update (which includes the micro expansion). We are moving along! Hope you are all enjoying the updates ~ Greg

Another month has already passed by, hard to believe! I’m happy to report that the game is progressing nicely.
Development: The Story Cards for Chapter 2 are now complete. We are nearly halfway done with the Story Cards for Chapter 3! It’s been exciting to flesh out the ending in further detail.
The plan is to massage the story cards until we pass over the files for manufacturing, which is tentatively planned for August. Game testing and illustrations will continue until that time as well.
Illustrations: A ton of new stuff has been illustrated for the game, and all the Drink cards are now complete - which turned out amazing! I would love to show more of them off, but I'd like some to be a surprise! Instead, I thought we would take a look at some new illustrations from Chapter 2 that Diego just finished!
Lastly, the Pledge Manager should be open between April 8th or 9th. I will be sure to let you know.

We wanted to thank everyone again for a great campaign. We are thrilled to share some updates as we look forward to continuing our work on Rangitatki!
Pledge Manager - First off, I plan to open the BackerKit Pledge Manager for Surveys the first week in April. At that time you will have the option to Add-On to your pledge and revise or add your address. Please note that we still have a long way to go in development, and the Pledge Manager will remain open during this time.
Development - Christian and I have completed most of the work on the Sunken Pearl Section of Chapter 2 and are currently immersed in the second half. The Card Map (Outline) for Chapter 2 is now finalized, paving the way for a swift transition into the writing phase. Additionally, we're looking forward to digging into the outline for the final chapter by the end of this month.
Illustrations - Diego and Charlie have also dedicated their efforts primarily to the Sunken Pearl Section of Chapter 2. Diego is on the verge of completing the final character, while Charlie puts the finishing touches on three delightful cocktails. Here's a look at 6 of the drink cards! They've come out so cool! Maybe we can check out the characters who will be drinking these with you in the Sunken Pearl next time!
